How does a corporatist take-over of government look?

(HT@MarketTicker)

While we think that Alan Grayson is a despicable politician, he is on the right side when it comes to the “Kill the Fed” movement. Worth noting is also that the corporatist take-over of government started the second when Alan “Maestro” Greenspan took over the FED – he has been the tool of politicians and special interest throughout his career. Basically, Greenspan found himself in the situation where he could offer favours to the corporatist powers, and bathe in the glory of being the worlds largest central banker meanwhile. And now, he can’t for the life of him understand how something like this could have happened. IT’S AN ENIGMA. Or, if you’ve seen Peter Schiff predict it five years ago to the millimeter, with the same Peter Schiff actually trying to tell Greenspan per mail that things were looking less than cheery, you realize that Alan Greenspan is utterly full of shit, and should be prosecuted as a traitor.

These guys are just another bunch of plutocrats more mad that they aren’t in charge than in actually changing anything substantive. Campaign finance reform? Why is there always such outrage at rent-seekers and never any outrage at the rent-distributers?

Sure, the bankers screwed up the system, before and after the bubble, all with the support and power of the politicians and bureaucrats of the state. When guys like Grayson actually start talking about limiting Congressional authority to interfere with free markets (I mean conforming to the Constitution), then I’ll start believing he’s on the right side.
