Manosphere musings

It’s getting quite interesting out here on the fringes. This “manosphere” thing is starting to take off, it seems. The usual disclaimer is warranted, since I find much of the promiscuity and sex-talk in these parts of the interwebz a bit annoying (I am, after all, a conservative at heart). Regardless, there is something interesting stuff out there. Let’s begin :

GirlWritesWhat belongs to the MRA community (Mens Rights Advocates). Unfortunately, she is the only reasonable voice I’ve found among those people, mostly because she is terribly well read, and has an ever-interesting perspective on things. The following video contains two interesting things, first some ideas on why women dislike beta-behaviour, and second some interesting info on how our brains actually work.

Second, Aurini has an excellent post regardin how Greshams Law works in regards to sex and relations as well. It is a well known effect that in modern society, all the conservative and well-behaved people tend to try and avoid public places because, well, they are full of filth.

Moving along, you should REALLY visit FreeNorthener. He does G-R-E-A-T roundups of things you should read (latest “Lightning Round” here), and I’m not saying that just because I have been linked once or twice.  The two most interesting I found in the latest roundup are on Patriarchy and Mormons, and a view from the educational trenches.

Thats it for now. I’m half thinking about trying to write a manual for how to behave properly as a man. Could be interesting.

thanks for the kind words, sir! I notice you’re reading the Fourth turning, a Saecular Prophecy. care to do a book review of it for us?

As soon as I’m finished, I’ll try to do a brief review. Its a highly interesting book, to say the least. It is of course already widely quoted, but that doesn’t take away that it seems to have a fairly accurate grip on what is happening.
