Libertarian charity time (again)!

If you consider yourself a libertarian, and have a decent income, you BETTER be donating money or you are a freaking hypocrite. If libertarian thought and ideas aren’t worth your time and money, you aren’t a libertarian. If you think that all material on the internet “should be free”, you’re a freakin’ commie. You might be against copyright and patents, but that does not mean you do not pay fairly for what you receive.

Okay, enough with the rants. I realized that I had been watching a few of Stefan Molenyux’s videos lately, and thus it was time to DONATE. Lately, he has done two videos that are simply excellent. If you only have time for one, then watch this one regarding the decline of the family, which is perhaps the biggest disaster facing the Western world :

If you have time for another one, here’s a very informative review on why there is recovery in the American economy, nor will there be as things stand currently :

I’ve heard a lot of bad things about Stefan Molyneux, specifically the whole practice of DeFooing, which you can read about here. I sadly don’t think he’s healthy for the libertarian movement when you have accusations like this being well documented.

Other than that, I agree that the Western world is declining and culture is disappearing and fading before out eyes and the evils of stupidity and amateurism are holding the country hostage in everything from entertainment to government. What do you think of NGDP or level targeting, something that’s been catching on in the blogosphere by “market monetarists” like Lars Christensen and Scott Sumner? It sounds like an interesting economic school of thought but I have my doubts it would actually work. Economics students on Tumblr are obviously really excited about it. I’d rather have the Federal Reserve do one of their policy prescriptions rather than something like MMT, but ultimately, I’d prefer a free banking system.

This post from the great Austrian economist extraordinaire Bob Murphy is making me pretty skeptical and wary of the concept, even though Sumner sounds like a good guy with great intentions and the mindset that he can save the economy from ruin.

Lastly, here are the papers and blogs that summarize what market monetarism exactly is.
