If, and I do believe that is the case, what is written by Karl Denninger is true, than the LAPD has effectively gone from law-enforcement agency to criminal syndicate.
This is how the nation descends into a “dirty, unconventional civil war” folks. It happens when the so-called “law enforcement” people do what a handful of NOLA cops did after Katrina, where they shot an unarmed man and then planted a gun on him.
The problem with a system where all checks and balances on power have been removed is that the only thing preventing law enforcement agencies from going berserk is that they still think there may be consequences. When they realize that there are no consequences, you quickly go down the banana republic route, where the first thing everyone learns is to FEAR the police. And with the militarization of american police forces, I figure this is going to happen pretty soon in major urban areas.
